STEP is proud to partner up with PETROHAB LLC and represent it´s Pressurized Habitat solution. A technology designed to redefine safety and efficiency standards in maintenance interventions. Our solution enables the execution of hot work in classified areas with total integrity, ensuring the client’s operational continuity, with no down time.
Unlike traditional approaches that require a total production shutdown, STEP’s Pressurized Habitat creates an isolated and safe environment. Through a modular physical barrier and a positive pressure system, with an active gas detection unit, the work zone is completely segregated from the potentially flammable external atmosphere,
Maintenance of production during intervention, providing immediate return on investment.
Flexible panels that adapt to complex geometries and confined spaces in offshore environments.
A system designed for rapid assembly, optimizing the team’s exposure time in the field.
The system is operated by specialized technicians and monitored by redundant gas detection and real-time positive pressure control systems, featuring automatic power shut-off in case of any anomaly.
Our Habitats enable hot work to be carried out in hazardous areas, zones 1 and 2, where the risk of explosion is substantially high.
The combination of our gas detectors working in sync with our control and emergency shutdown system allows hot work to be carried out inside our habitats, which are made of silicone-coated fiberglass fabric and can withstand live flames up to 550 degrees Celsius.
By integrating PetroHab’s pressurized and modular habitats into our work fronts, we are able to perform critical interventions — such as welding and cutting — in complex environments, ensuring total protection against fire and explosion risks.
As a result, our offshore operations feature:
